Local Food Advisory Council
Thanks to the leadership of Agricultural Commissioner Dave Whitmer, the dedicated group of local government officials, food producers and community activists that he brought together, and the success of the Napa Local Food Forum in Spring 2010, the Napa County Board of Supervisors have created a Local Food Advisory Council. The purpose of the council is to advise the Board regarding the development and promotion of a sustainable local food system, and work to set priorities, plan and implement initiatives to improve the environmental, economic and social sustainability of food production in Napa County.
